>When I found out they are making a new comic book series about Darkwing Duck, I couldn't wait. Darkwing Duck is one of my all time favorite cartoons, and I was really bummed when the show was canceled. So when I heard about the new Darkwing comic series I had to check it out. I just wasn't sure how it would turn out, but boy does it deliver. The stories are great and the art work is fantastic. James Silvani does a great job bringing Darkwing to life and his art work continually impresses me. So I'm really happy Darkwing Duck lives on. Anyways, now that I've geeked out about the series I'll share a few thoughts on first Darkwing Duck Annual. So how is the first Darkwing Duck Annual comic? Pure Awesomeness! I love the more serious take on Quakerjack. It's nice to see the comic fleshing out the characters more. I liked how Quakerjack was like the more serious comic takes on the Joker, as this whole issue has a similar tone to the Killing Joker as the first cover suggests. Overall it was an excellently written story and wonderfully drawn. If you aren't familiar with Darkwing Duck I strongly suggest you check out both the cartoon and the new comic series, its definitely worth your time. I know what I will be reading in my free time :)
